Manual trans hard shifting when cold. permalink. is anyone else having a problem with shifting the trans when cold? first to second and second to third are the worst. this didn't happen until the weather got colder. when the engine is at normal operating temp it shifts better. the nsg370 is a clunky transmission when cold. but you shouldn't. I read in the owner manual that this is normal because the oil is cold, mine does the exact same thing when the engine is cold. i do the trick from the owner manual and it works. just release the clutch and press it again and it should engage..
